KML Earth Day Cleanup 2006

This coming Sunday, April 23rd, the Korean Mountaineering League is organizing a cleanup on Bukhan-san. We will be going onto the trails to remove and properly dispose of trash and recyclable material. This will also be the KML's first cleanup of the season and our second annual Earth Day Cleanup (Earth Day is the 22nd).

I would like to invite everyone here at KOTR who is concerned, willing, and able to join us. Any questions about the cleanup can be directed to me right here, or you may visit the KML's website. Eric has graciously provided a link to the KML's site at the bottom of each page on KOTR's website.

If you can't join us, then I encourage everyone to do something, no matter how small, in support of Earth Day.

For info on Earth Day events in Korea visit the Earth Day Network's website via this link: http://www.earthday.net/programs/find/searchEvent.aspx . Simply find South Korea in the 'country' search box.

Hey guy, what time does this clean up start?

Pedro de Pacas 04-19-2006 12:15 PM

"Hey GUY,..." What happened to 'Hey BRO!!?'

I am also interested in picking up some trash, but will have a bunch of kids from my hogwan in tow. They will likely be great trash collectors, for 15min.

We'll head out in the morning, probably around 10.
Give me a ring.

Yeah, we have safety concerns for under-18ers. We need parental permission for each kid. We have had kids on cleanups and they usually do a great job! Of course, we put them on the lower trails with teams that head out later in the cleanup day.

The weekend is upon us. If anyone was interested in joining the cleanup, please let the KML know by tomorrow, Saturday the 22nd (Earth Day).
Actually, there will be another smaller cleanup on the 22nd. So, anyone interested in that may certainly join. You can e-mail the KML directly to let them know. The link is at the bottom of this page.
Thanks.

Although it might only be for an hour or two on Sunday morning (as early as I possibly can go), I am planning to join in the clean-up. I'll also be heading out tomorrow (the 22nd). Although my intentions are purely for bouldering tomorrow, I always manage to pick up some trash (multiple meanings not intended here;) ) and maybe I can at least meet your gang tomorrow as well. My digits will probably be so fried by the end that all I will be able to grab is garbage anyway!

Hope to see you tomorrow (and Sunday)!

Cheers!
Dee
