Blue color in the letter O of kotr?

Would you please put blue color in the bottom of the circle "letter O" of KOTR left upper side of this main screen. There is red color on half top in the "letter O" ... Take close look at the Korean national flag, BLUE & red circle in the flag represents South Korea & North Korea. From my point of view, somehow feel not so good.. everytime open this web site watching red color only in the "letter O". Well... I don't know I should point out this...I'm a Korean.

Hi,
I pointed out this curious aspect of the logo here: http://www.koreaontherocks.com/forum...ead.php?t=1384

It seems that instead of changing just this part, the site managers are looking and waiting for a brand new design.

I'm a Korean American, btw, if it matters.

I was thinking I might be a only guy to point out the aspect of the logo here. Thank you for sharing the same thought... BUT I do not mind if it's gonna be changed or adopted new logo. Just a good suggestion I believe.

Thanks for giving me inspiration to play. Check out the pic on my profile. Obviously, someone with actual talent should design it if it's acutally being used, but it's a concept.

Mountain image was stolen from http://picasaweb.google.com/triumph....59689876914194

I just used the 'difference' function under the paintbrush in photoshop to blue the mountain and the rest was just done with basic functions and layers.

Again, just an idea.

From a technical perspective, that image, while interesting, wouldn't be great for a logo. One of the big things you must think of is how it looks reproduced on different materials. While that looks cool on the internet or paper, it wouldn't reproduce well on fabric (unless you used really high quality printing=$$$) b/c of how complicated and detailed it is. Really cool image though!

Yeah, but a simpler version could be made. That's why I leave it up to design people. Could be a solid blue mountain silouette, maybe with some white lines to define the moutain face/terrain.

Hey, I just saw the thread. . .literally seconds after PMing the lovely d. . .

Joe and Dong-il. . . do you think Koreans would mind the flag image in the book? Something I might hand-off to a graphic designer?

Dong-il, I guess somehow it wasn't clear to you that I had moved on with the thread and was discussing lovelydeirdre's image?

It's an eye-catching logo that combines a national symbol of Korea with the mountains-- not so far off from what the book is about!

Actually, officially, blue means Yin and red means yang, but most korean regard the color of blue as right wing(south korea), red as left wing(north korea). Anyway korea is the only country devided into two nations in the whole world, so it'll be better idea to be neutral when it comes to concerning sensitive matters. I believe Korea still has clouse like (criminal)contempt of national flag... well I really do not want to talk about this matter any more.
