View Full Version of Danggogae Station
Type of Area:
Outdoor artificial climbing wall (15 meters?). Ratings unknown, just guessing 5.8-5.11.
Small bouldering wall next to the main wall. Very similar to the Eungbong wall, but the holds are worn a little smoother.
Head east on Line 4 toward Danggogae Station.
You'll see the wall on the left side of the subway between Sanggye and Danggogae Stations.
At Danggogae, head out Exit 3, cross the road, and turn left. Just follow the sidewalk until you come to the park entrance (orange wall). It's super easy to find.
Some of the routes have preplaced quick-draws, others don't. The bolts and "permanent" quick-draws seem well maintained.
Sometimes it's packed on the weekends, but other times it's pretty open. Never know.
Gear to Bring
Basic sport climbing rack. Nothing special.
The park is a cool place--basketball and badminton courts, pathways for walking and blading, benches for sitting, etc.
You can also take a right out of Danggogae Stn., zigzag through some alleys, and head up Buramsan (sp?) for a nice day hike.
