Ulleungdo ferry terminal View Full Version of Ulleungdo ferry terminal

Province Name: Gyeongsangbuk-Do
City Name: Ullungdo
Type of Area: Rock Climbs

Description
It's pretty small but it would be good fun if your waiting for the ferry to go...

I didn't climb it because I had no gear.

I can't give grades as I'm new to climbing but it didn't look too difficult.

Porus volcanic rock. I don't know the name. Felt pretty solid and had no bits falling off.

Three routes with an anchor at the top of each.

Each anchor has three bolts (two in the middle route) with metal wire through them in a loop.

The bolts seem to start quite a way up.

Directions
Get off the ferry and turn right. Look behind the terminal building.

If you go up some stairs you've gone too far.

Safety Concerns
Watch out for cars and heaps of people when a boat comes in or leaves.

Gear to Bring
Rope and four or five draws.

Additional Comments
Toilets about 15 meters away. Food about 50 meters away.

These climbs are no longer accessible because the new ferry terminal building juts right up against the bolts. There is another area on the island which is better.
