One boulder, near a gravesite. About 3 meters tall. Possibly undeveloped. Who owns the land is not obvious. This *might* be of concern for climbers.
Three obvious problems. Left corner is easiest and goes at around V0 - 2.
A line directly up the overhang looks high quality. Difficulty looks like around V5 - 6.
Right corner may be more difficult.... [Read More]

A truly magical valley of boulders (it's been home to a local bouldering festival for years). . . There area a couple of kilometers where bouldering is possible. Several sectors have been developed between the two main campgrounds. There are several bridges and (of course, depending on water-levels) river crossings. Super-high crack boulders would even make trad practice possible. About 50 developed lines, but more potential.
There are also 4 sport routes, just across (and slightly west) of the prominent gazebo. There are no anchors, just tw... [Read More]

Granite boulders and cliffs of varying height and angles. Problems range from one move wonders to highballs. The granite here is generally good, but there is the occasional loose hold or chossy boulder. The boulder field is pretty large and problems are in little clusters scattered throughout the area. You may end up hiking around a little within the little valley. A lot of problems could go down here, It just depends on where you look. But you could go to a different part of the valley each time you visit.... [Read More]

Good quality rock (occasionally sharp) with 30?40? potential problems in a variety of ranges. Many of the landings are beach landings, for others, a spotter or pad would be nice.
Overhangs, aretes, roofs. . . balancy faces. . .
The rocks are on the far right of the beach. . . keep walking around or over for more and more!... [Read More]

I really don't know the grades because I don't know all the boulders or lines. I think the rock is mostly granite. Some of this is high-balling.
There are at least 2 good boulders on the main trail (names unknown, but one was said to be 5.9 = VB or V0). But I found boulders all over the place, so have fun exploring.
As you find projects, add your beta to this post. The more, the better. Thanks.... [Read More]

Seems to be granite and conglomerate that dominate this river bed. Most boulders are either in the river or on it's shore. Some of the rocks have water under them [in the spring] (perhaps they'd be climable in the fall?), and nearly all of them are covered in lots of moss. there are cool traverses, atleast one steep overhang with the possibility of really difficult routes, lowballs and highballs, and a number of cool problems, although most of them have never been touched, and are well vegetated....
