Description
The 내손동 (Naeson-dong) CruxZone gym is an average-sized bouldering room on the 6th floor of a building. The gym is technically located in Uiwang, the neighboring city. It is owned by the Camp 4 shop (also in the area).
Most the climbers here only practice endurance training.
Very little English is spoken, by staff or by other climbers, so it's not the best place if you can't speak Korean well. In my month climbing here, I observed the members doing more non-climbing than climbing. That ranged from hour-long stretching and yoga sessions to intently watching K-dramas or singing contests on the television set. With exception of two older male climbers I met, the climbers here seem shy and not very welcoming. Among the two people who staff the gym, the woman seems pretty nice. In my time climbing here, no other foreign climbers visited. The music played ranged from Korean hip-hop to love ballads.
Loaner shoes are available.

A comment on the neighborhood: It is close to 평촌학원가. So a large number of western people live here and teach nearby. When I lived there in 2011 I never met anyone remotely interested in climbing nor doing much else that did not involve drinking.

This place is in the same location, but no longer called CruxZone. Some of the holds have been washed and there appears to be some new paint on some of the walls.
